Medfusion Portal Notes

Sites using the MedFusion patient portal should use the following steps when documenting clinical care for measures used by MIPS PI or Medicaid PI.

1.

Make sure a clinical note is linked to the visit.

2.

Sign the clinical note.

3.

Select Make Available in Portal on the Clinical Visit Summary.

4.

Check the patient out.

If the clinical note is amended and re-signed, you must use the following steps to ensure the Medfusion portal is updated with the amended information.

1.

Go to Registration? Visit Information Check-In.

2.

Search for the visit linked to the note that was amended and re-signed.

3.

Add a comment to the visit.

4.

Save the visit. Saving the visit with the new comment will update the Clinical Visit Summary on the MedFusion portal.

If reporting on a visit used for Patient Electronic Access in Medicaid PI or Provide Patient Access in MIPS PI, you must amend and re-sign the Note and save a comment to the visit during the measure time-frame to receive numerator credit.
